History of the Centre:
As Kathmandu valley got many population of Buddhist and also houses for the many great master but there is rare, where they gives teaching in Nepali language for the Nepali communities. Therefore, His Holiness The Sakya Trizin Rinpoche has suggested to Khenpo Vagindra Shila to start teaching.
Khenpo had started his teachings in a small hall of Viswo Shanti Vihar, Kamaladi Kathmandu and subsequently laid the foundation for the establishing of the Centre in the year 1997. His teachings had been delivered in private residences for some years. Later H.H. The Sakya Trizin Rinpoche has come to know to this problem and kindly recommended the Mustang Gumba, which is situated at the foothill of Swoyambhu for the teachings. These teachings are still held ever Saturday.
Khenpo´s dedication and efforts alone with the support of the dharma friends, Triyana Dharma Centre was able to purchase the building where now it stands. This Triyana Dharma Centre also called Triyana Dharma Sangha in Nepali community.

It aims to create congenial environments for the people from any ethnic back ground to learn Buddhism. To promote Buddhist teachings in native language and to those interested help them to practise in their daily life.

His Holiness The Sakya Trizin Rinpoche is the 41st Sakya Trizin, supreme head of the Sakya School, which is one of the four main schools of Tibetan Buddhism; He was born in Tibet in 1945. His Holiness is also believed to be the manifestation of Bodhisattva Manjushree.
His Holiness belongs to the ancient and distinguished Khön family, also Abhisavara heavenly (clear light Gods) family and Sakyapa, whose history extends back to the early days of Tibet, before the arrival of Buddhism. The generations of the Khön family have continued in an unbroken lineage. There are many famous masters have appeared, even became the teacher of the great Emperors Godan Khan, Kublai khan during 1100s to 1200s.
His Holiness has worked ceaselessly for the preservation and successful reconstitution of Sakya's rich and profound Dharma heritage. Apart from these heavy responsibilities He has, in the course of His life so far, undertaken major and minor retreats on Sakya Lineage, given numerous initiations (including the entire "Collection of Sadhanas" many times), written a large number of texts, and in particular has bestowed the vast Lam Dre teachings also on many occasions. He has taken an extensive part in making the Dharma available world-wide, travelling repeatedly and regularly to teach in more than 30 counties of the world. There are also many monasteries, monastic institute, universites and Dharma centres under His supervision around the world.



Venerable Khenpo Vagindra Shila was born in Bharamin family at Sindhupalchok District of Nepal in the year 1968. After renunciation of household life in the year 1682 join the Sakya Centre (personal monastery of His Holiness The Sakya Trizin Rinpoche) in Dehradun India and became a monk. He studies rituals and Tibetan grammar etc all the basic study of Tibetan Buddhism, completing course at Sakya Centre in the year 1986, he join the Sakya Institute at Puruwala in Himachal State of India. He then received LOPON degree and began to teach at the same institute for some years. He has received fully ordain vows from His Eminence Luding Khenchen Rinpoche.
In the years 1997 H.H. The Sakya Trizin Rinpoche awarded KHENPO title and spiritual teacher for the Nepal. In the same year, His Eminence Chogye Trichen Rinpoche officially enthroned his as a KHENPO in a ceremony in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Since 2003, Khenpo Vagindra Shila has been working as the founder chairperson of Triyana Dharma Centre. He also has travelled to give Dharma teaching many parts of Nepal, India, Bhutan, Spain, Italy, England and USA.
